Before it gets to space, NASA’s prototype moon buggy — driven by astronaut Michael Gernhar — will make history by being introduced to the public in president-elect Barack Obama’s inaugural parade that will also include the crew of the latest shuttle mission.
The prototype moon buggy is not only sure to be a runaway hit at next week’s inaugural festivities — it also sets up 2009 as a launch year for a renewed focus on national and international space developments.
Space industry executives, engineers, and manufacturers will have the opportunity to explore global-scale changes in the space industry that are projected for the next 50 years, or The Next Space Age, at the 25th National Space Symposium, which will be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado on March 30 – April 2.
